Ms. Marianek manages the adult nursing staff that provides patient care during proton therapy consultation visits, weekly on-treatment visits and follow-up appointments. She is responsible for setting the professional nursing standards of care that result in optimal outcomes. Since joining UF Health Proton Therapy in 2012, she has served as a case manager across all disease sites. 

Ms. Marianek earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Kent State and a master’s degree in nursing, with a concentration in nursing leadership, from the University of Central Florida. Her nursing background includes cardiac care, HIV, oncology and obstetrics. Her commitment for excellence in cancer care extends to her role as a regional board member of the American Cancer Society and a vocal advocate for cancer funding in both Tallahassee and Washington, D.C., with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.
