Location: University of Florida Health Proton Therapy Institute (UFHPTI), Jacksonville, FL

UFHPTI is seeking a dedicated Referral Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end process of obtaining insurance approvals for patient treatments, pre- and post-treatment testing, and follow-up care. You will handle complex benefit coverage requests across various payor types, including Commercial insurers, Employer-funded plans, Managed Care, Medicaid, and Medicare. Acting as a vital communication link, you will coordinate between patients, physicians, insurance providers, and referring offices to ensure smooth referral processes.

Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years of experience working with third-party payors, including insurance verification, benefits review, contract analysis, and negotiations
• At least 1 year of experience processing referrals and securing authorizations/pre-certifications
• Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with medical terminology
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized effectively
• Prior experience in Radiation Oncology is highly preferred
• Experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding is a plus
