In April, the Climb for Cancer Foundation visited the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute for a tour and lunch. The tour included a presentation from Dr. Daniel Indelicato and a visit to a treatment room. Attending from the organization were Ron Farb, co-founder and co-executive director of the Climb for Cancer Foundation; Greg Schultz, Board Chair; BarBee Geiger, RN, MBAHCM; and Cleve Cooper.
The nonprofit provided a one-time grant in 2022 to help re-establish the child life specialist position. In January 2023, Jasmine Miller began as our new child life specialist.
The Climb for Cancer Foundation supports patients and families who are fighting cancer and provides grants for cancer research.
