Medical Director's Message - December 2023

As we near the end of 2023, the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute reflects on a year of significant milestones and achievements. We served patients from various corners of the globe, providing them with comprehensive cancer treatment and a supportive environment for recovery.

Throughout the year, we have introduced several initiatives, including the launch of The Blog Spot and the upgrade of our patient portal to MyUFHealth. Additionally, we successfully completed our $44 million expansion and upgrades project, reinstated the Child Life program and inaugurated a dedicated resting room for our patients. We are also proud to announce our NCI-Designated Cancer Center recognition with UF Health Cancer Center, placing us among a distinguished group of leading cancer programs nationwide. These accomplishments are a testament to the relentless dedication and pioneering work of our physicians and staff in the realm of cancer treatment and research.
