Why Support UF Health Proton Therapy Institute

Your Support Matters

As a major non-profit academic medical center, the Institute relies on its supporters for the resources it needs. There are a variety of ways to make an impact by making a charitable gift to the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute.

Option 1 – The UF Health Proton Therapy Institute Annual Fund

The annual fund is a key source of expendable operating income for our most pressing and immediate needs. Gifts from Proton alumni and friends help us best serve the next generation of cancer patients entrusted to our care. You can make a gift, in any amount, immediately via our secure website by clicking here.

Option 2 – Patient Experience Enhancement Fund

Patients at the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute are being treated for life-threatening ailments and face enormous challenges as they confront their personal journey with cancer. The Patient Experience Enhancement Fund provides the Institute's caring patient services staff the money to make the patient's experience the best one possible. Whether it is used to help take the children patients and their families to the zoo or the adult patients out to a group dinner, the Patient Experience Enhancement Fund provides a degree of comfort in a patient's most difficult time.

Option 3 – Proton Therapy Research Fund

Cancer research conducted at the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute explores and validates the promise of the proton therapy for improved treatment and cure. Patients all over the world will benefit from the knowledge gained in clinical studies and basic science research.

Donors can endow the creation of new knowledge through research funds. Research funds can be specified for physics, biology or clinical research and may be directed to a particular disease such as breast, prostate, pediatric, lung, head and neck, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, eye disorders and sarcoma malignancy. Funding these research initiatives requires a substantial investment. Contact to discuss the details.

Option 4 – Facility Development and Improvement Fund

The Facility Development and Improvement Fund's goal is to help the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute best customize its physical space to fulfill its mission of clinical care and research. There are a number of naming opportunities for donors to leave a permanent imprint on the Institute. Naming opportunities range between $25,000 for a faculty office up to $10 million to name the entire building.
