We are looking for exceptional nurses to provide clinical radiation oncology care during procedures in an ambulatory setting. We are seeking RN candidates to perform in-office, minimally invasive procedures such as placing IV’s, monitoring patients with pacemakers during treatment and assisting the Physician in the placement of SpaceOar, a hydrogel placed prior to radiation treatments. Compassion and willingness to learn and grow with our team in this academic environment is must.
Individuals will be responsible for the daily procedures done in Radiation Oncology clinic. Procedure RN will work closely with different physicians daily and collaborate with other members of the health care team as well as assisting in other areas.
Position is primarily day time hours.
Qualified candidates should have excellent communication and critical thinking skills along with self-initiative and above average organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with a diverse staff and patient population is required. Must possess solid standard of care practices as well as infection control practices. Prior nursing experience in ambulatory health care, oncology, or procedural setting strongly preferred. RN required. Must have current, valid Florida RN license in good standing and be certified in BLS, preferably ACLS.
