Pediatric Recovery Room RN - $4,000 Sign-On Bonus | UF Health Proton Therapy Institute

UF Health Proton Therapy Institute (UFHPTI), located in Jacksonville, Florida, has an Immediate opening for a licensed RN to work on a permanent, part to full time basis in our Pediatric Recovery Room. Responsibilities include performing technical nursing functions within our Pediatric Nursing department, such as providing age appropriate care based on patient assessment and monitoring patients’ responses to all interventions. Administers and documents medications and intravenous solutions according to established policies and procedures. Serves as patient advocate by providing compassionate nursing care individualized to each patient’s needs. Hours will be mornings (8:00) – end of peds treatments, Monday through Friday.

Qualified candidates should have at least two or more years of clinical experience in pediatric nursing and hold a current, valid RN license in the state of Florida. Must have prior recovery room and/or sedation experience. Must be PALS certified. Must be able to perform effectively under stressful or emergency situations. Excellent communication critical thinking skills required.
