The UF Health Proton Therapy Institute (UFHPTI), located in Jacksonville, Florida, has an immediate opening for a COMPPARE Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) is a specialized research professional that participates as a member of a multi-disciplinary team working under the direction of the COMPPARE Research Manager and UFHPTI Director of Research on the COMPPARE research project. Funding for this position will last a minimum of two years with extension possible.
Responsibilities include the coordination, implementation, and completion of radiation oncology research study (COMPPARE) by assisting in screening oncology patients, obtaining informed consent forms, educating patients and staff, scheduling and conducting study procedures, collecting, recording, and maintaining study data, interfacing with study sponsors, FDA, UF IRB, and other University of Florida research committees, preparing for and participating in internal and external research audits, maintaining various research databases, processing and shipping of research samples, and following all aspects of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Clinical Practices (GCP) in the conduct of clinical research.
Qualified candidates should have a minimum of one (1) year prior work experience as a research coordinator. Clinical Research Coordinator Certification or eligible to sit for exam after 2 years clinical research coordination experience. College degree required, BS degree in medical field preferred. Oncology experience is strongly preferred. Effectively uses Microsoft computer software. Demonstrates ability to coordinate and establish priorities among diverse tasks. Effectively communicates verbally and in writing.
