The University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute (UFHPTI), located in Jacksonville, Florida, has an opening for an Administrative Assistant to provide a wide variety of administrative and staff support services for physicians and other departments within the company. May assist with maintaining call schedules, handling business associate agreements, working within Human Resources, working on special projects and other support service duties. 

Responsible for scheduling conferences and travel, including international travel. May serve as administrative liaison with others internally and externally as it relates to support for MD’s, PhDs, Human Resources,  credentialing, visitors, CV’s, Electronic Medical Records, and others areas as required. Responsible for cross training in all areas of the administrative department for back-up coverage. 

Qualified candidates must have above average written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.  Ability to manage complex filing systems, maintain confidentiality, and establish and/or manage complex tasks and procedures with strong attention to detail required. Must have superior customer service skills and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals. 

Minimum of two years’ experience working in an office environment, healthcare (academic) preferred. Advanced working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook required. 

Proficiency with office equipment to include computer, copy machine, fax, multiple phone lines, and cell phones required. Associates degree preferred.
